Looking over the 2010 Schedule, I see a record of somewhere around 11-5 or 10-6. All of the talk of the Eagles demise or of rebuilding is premature. Even though I was a huge McNabb fan, I believe Kolb is going to do alot better than many pundits (or even some fans) think. As
much as I loved McNabb as our QB, his biggest weakness was accuracy. In a West Coast based offense, it is of utmost importance to be highly accurate and to hit players in stride so they can get alot of yards after the catch. Also, instead of just listening to fans moan and groan, we should listen to the players and how they feel about the change. I've read quotes from Jackson, Maclin & Celek where they said (with no disrepect to McNabb) about how excited they are about the future and that the sky is the limit with this group. I believe the Eagles are actually closer to their goal of reaching and winning the Super Bowl in the near future than they were before. I also believe our draft was very solid and will help the defense improve from last year and be more consistent. The running game will also improve with the free-agent pickup of Mike Bell from the Saints and drafting Charles Scott from LSU. The Eagles should be able to employ more of a smash-mouth running game (as long as Andy Reid runs the damn ball!) Sometimes one has to take one step back to take two steps forward. Rico
